The Salem’s So Sweet festival kicked off on Friday night with a magical evening in downtown Salem, MA. Despite the cold and snow, the streets came alive with illuminated ice sculptures glowing in pink, blue, and purple lights, live saxophone music from Chagall PAC, and a warm kickoff event hosted by the Salem Chamber of Commerce.
Local artisans showcased their work throughout the evening — from Tim McAuliffe’s beautiful heart-shaped pottery to Salem Style’s colorful handmade knit hats at Jenni Stuart Fine Jewelry. Floral Baby Design filled the space with stunning pink orchid arrangements, and attendees explored the ice sculpture trail winding through the snowy downtown streets.
The night brought together festival organizers, local businesses, and visitors for a truly special start to one of Salem’s favorite winter traditions. Check out the highlights below, and don’t miss our full gallery for even more photos from the weekend.
