Although some holiday shoppers enjoy Black Friday and all that comes along with it, many others would prefer to avoid the stampedes and support local makers, artisans, creators, and independent shops instead.

Small Business Saturday, a movement created by American Express, is a way to support small businesses and many local organizations, chambers and business initiatives use this as a way to support these amazing small businesses.
On November 30, stores and restaurants all over the North Shore will be offering specials and discounts to entice Thanksgiving-stuffed shoppers to pick up gifts a little closer to home. This initiative boosts the local economy, supports local makers and provides an opportunity to explore your local community.
In addition to the small business offers, some cities are getting into the day by providing special incentives for shoppers, one example is The City of Salem which will be offering free parking for the day at special Downtown locations.
Note! This list is being updated as the 30th approaches, check back or follow Creative Collective for listings!
