About the Artist

Jason Stadtlander has explored the human figure as both model and photographer for nearly twenty years. His approach is rooted in observation, restraint, and visual storytelling, prioritizing authenticity over performance and presence over posing. The work examines closeness, desire, and the physical language that binds people together, treating the body as both subject and structure with equal regard for rawness and restraint.

Fine Art Work

Philosophy:

Bodies of Work:

Studies in Shadow – A study of the human form at the edge of visibility, where light reveals structure but withholds certainty. Using shadow as an active element of composition, the work invites viewers to confront what is suggested, implied, or felt.

Erotics of Power – Explores the body not as object but as presence, examining strength, vulnerability, difference, and restraint where power is not performed but held.

Self-Possessed – Ongoing investigation into what it means to fully inhabit one’s body with agency, presence, and self-authorship. The project welcomes individuals across a wide spectrum of ages, identities, and lived experiences.

Wedding Photography

Weddings are collections of small, unrepeatable moments—quiet gestures, nervous hands, fleeting expressions, and light that exists for only a second.
