About Us
Gentlemen Bats showcases the distinctive artwork of Nick Demakes, a Montserrat College of Art graduate who has been creating whimsical gothic fantasy art since 2003. What began with a fragmented drawing has evolved into a collection of original paintings, limited prints, and sculptural clocks featuring unusual Victorian-era inspired “family portraits” of bats, cats, frogs, and other fantastical characters. Nick’s artistic journey started after college when he was finally free to pursue his passion for horror and fantasy genres, developing a unique artistic voice that combines traditional techniques with unconventional materials and subject matter.
