Grind House was founded by Chris Martin (Critta) and Edwin Cabrera. The idea was to create a business where we could put our areas of expertise together as past marketing/label person and filmmaker. After Chris Martin spent years working at an independent label, he chose to pursue a career in graphic design. This would allow us to create content for our artists and give them the resources needed to maneuver the music industry. The combination of experience allowed them to form Grind House Recordings. The name Grindhouse has become more of a symbol for the company because the owners work day jobs to support their love for hip hop.
