About Us
Salem Arts Association is a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization located in Salem’s historic waterfront, nestled among the shops and restaurants of Pickering Wharf. Our mission is to bring art in all its forms to the community and to welcome the community in all its diversity to the arts in Salem, Massachusetts. We host regular exhibitions, workshops, and community events that celebrate local talent and foster creative engagement, ensuring that everyone has an opportunity to participate in and enjoy the vibrant arts scene. Founded in 2007, we serve as an inclusive cultural hub for artists and art enthusiasts alike.

Gallery Experience
Our gallery presents monthly rotating exhibitions, each unveiling fresh themes and innovative creations from over 250 member artists. These exhibitions showcase an impressive breadth of artistic mediums, including painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, ceramics, textiles, and more, offering visitors a dynamic and ever-evolving experience that celebrates the richness of Salem’s arts community.
