About Salem Game Guild
Salem Game Guild is a locally focused gaming organization dedicated to building community, supporting local creators, and celebrating the rich history of game design on the North Shore. Founded in Salem, Massachusetts — the birthplace of Parker Brothers and home to classic games like Monopoly and Clue — the Guild honors that legacy while helping a new generation of designers, players, and enthusiasts find their people. Furthermore, Salem Game Guild believes that games are among the most powerful tools for connection, education, and mental well-being.
Our Experience
Salem Game Guild is led by a passionate team of gamers who understand firsthand the unique social power of tabletop play. The organization grew from a shared question among local gaming enthusiasts — what if we could build something that brought all of this together at scale? Additionally, the Guild is committed to creating welcoming, inclusive events that fill a genuine gap in the North Shore gaming community, where tabletop culture continues to grow, but a dedicated local hub has been missing.

Supporting Local Game Designers
One of the Salem Game Guild’s core missions is to spotlight game designers on the North Shore and restore Salem’s identity as a hub for game creation. The Guild provides local creators with a platform to demo their work, connect with players, and build an audience within the community. Consequently, every event is an opportunity to discover something new — and to support the people making it.
Salem Game Guild for All Ages
Games are for everyone, and Salem Game Guild is designed to reflect that. Events welcome players of all ages and experience levels, from families with young children to seasoned strategists. Additionally, the Guild actively works to make the gaming community a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space for all people — because the table is always better when everyone has a seat.
What Makes Us Special
Salem is the birthplace of some of America’s most iconic board games — and yet, until now, it had no gaming convention to call its own. Salem Game Guild is changing that. The organization combines a deep respect for local gaming history with a forward-looking commitment to community building, mental health advocacy through play, and support for the next generation of game creators. Meanwhile, a founding belief that games make people better friends, better thinkers, and better neighbors drives everything the Guild does.
