About Salem RenFaire

Salem RenFaire is a community-built, one-day Renaissance faire hosted at Notch Brewing in Salem, Massachusetts — small in size, but mighty in spirit. Organized by a scrappy group of Salem locals who call themselves the Council of Goblins, the event brings together a medieval marketplace, armored combat demonstrations, interactive quests, live performances, mead, and an after-party all in one unforgettable day. Furthermore, Salem RenFaire is proudly inclusive, welcoming all races, genders, ages, and identities.

Our Experience

Salem RenFaire was built from the ground up by a tight-knit group of locals who live, work, and grew up in Salem. The organizing team brings expertise in event production, branding, illustration, web development, chainmail crafting, and community engagement to the table. Additionally, the event is supported by a growing network of local vendors, sponsors, performers, and community partners who helped make something magical out of a scrappy first-year idea.

Salem RenFaire Interactive Quest

One of the most distinctive features of Salem RenFaire is its interactive roleplay quest, run by Intramersive. Guests can embark on a hero’s journey throughout the event, completing their quest before the story concludes later in the day. Moreover, the quest is designed to draw attendees into the world of the faire and make the experience feel genuinely immersive.

Combat, Performances & the After-Party

North Horde Armored Combat brings real medieval fighting to the biergarden with live demonstrations that are not to be missed. Live performances run throughout the day across the venue. Consequently, as the sun goes down, the faire transforms into an after-party — described by the organizers as turning the tap room into a knight club.
