About Us

Sarah Kelly Ceramics creates handcrafted, small-batch pottery inspired by seasonal charm and whimsical design in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Established in 2013 after Sarah graduated from UMASS Dartmouth with her BFA in Artisanry–Ceramics, the studio has been bringing functional art to life for over a decade. Each piece is made with care—from wheel-thrown mugs featuring playful Halloween motifs to ghost tea light holders that glow with personality to textured vases that bring natural warmth into any space. Sarah’s work blends functionality with artistry, offering customers unique ceramics that are both beautiful and practical. Every item is individually crafted, glazed, and finished by hand, ensuring no two pieces are ever exactly alike. Simple forms are used within each set to highlight connectedness, then bold surfaces are applied using glaze patterning, relief printing, and painting to create uniqueness and noticeability. When presented in groupings, her pottery is eclectic and surprising, exploring the concept of identity and individuality. Her tableware gives people the opportunity to consider diversity in society by experiencing uniqueness and connection within the context of table service.
