By Lantern Tours is a family-run walking tour company in Marblehead, Massachusetts, sharing the town’s history through small-group, story-driven walks. Founded by Andy and Marybeth Maercklein, long-time North Shore residents, the tours wind through Old Town’s historic streets, harborfront, and burial grounds. Guests get plenty of room for questions, conversation, and a laugh along the way.

Our Experience

Andy Maercklein brings a background in marketing and consumer insights together with a love of history and storytelling. By Lantern Tours has also been featured on WBZ-TV Boston, where Andy was interviewed about Marblehead’s history. Furthermore, the Maercklein family has spent decades living and working on the North Shore, including restoring a 1720 Colonial home in Old Town.
