Festive feeling is in the air this season North of Boston, and while you might be roasting chestnuts on a socially distanced open fire, there’s no reason not to soak in the best of the warmth and joy that local events have to offer.

It’s Salem’s 41st Annual Christmas in Salem Holiday House Tour. This holiday you will have the amazing opportunity to tour around Salem without leaving the comfort of your own home!

A Celtic Family Christmas At Home! – Multiple Dates

This Christmas season, our family is inviting the world to our home, virtually, to witness our music, life and preparation at Christmas time. Mostly music, it will also include candid moments around the kitchen, decorating the tree, and other bits of Christmas chaos!

The Long Christmas Ride Home – Multiple Dates

Past, present, and future collide on a snowy Christmas Eve for a troubled family of five. Humorous and heart-wrenching, this beautifully written play by the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of How I Learned to Drive proves that magic can be found in the simplest breaths of life.

North Shore Pride’s Virtual Holiday Fair – Ongoing

North Shore Pride is hosting their first online holiday fair! Shop the virtual vendor stalls and support LGBTQIA+ small business.

Intramersive’s Holiday Help Desk LARP – Multiple Dates

This is a 1:1 zoom larp where you the customer play a Tier 1 Tech Support Specialist for the Magical Help Desk. You will receive your new hire packet with a manual to help you help others but feel free to trust your gut, what could go wrong?

Polar Express Dance Party – December 18th

All Aboard the virtual Polar Express for a Mini Movers Studio Dance Party! Dance on board as we make our way to the North Pole enjoying Polar Express themed dancing, games, and activities-with a SPECIAL surprise from a Jolly Man in Red!

All ages are welcome and feel free to dress in your coziest PJ’s for a fun night of dance and Christmas excitement!

Socially Distanced Events

Salem Arts Association’s Holiday Artists’ Market – Multiple Dates

The Salem Arts Association invites artists and artisans (aka vendors) to showcase and sell their work at our Holiday Artists’ Market at Salem Arts Association Galleries. The Holiday Artists’ Market Weekends will feature a quality selection of vendors of artwork and handmade artisan products.

Santa Claus At Hammond Castle – December 10th

While Santa will be socially distanced, he will listen to the children’s Christmas wishes and each child will be presented with both a signed photo of Santa and a new, wrapped present. Children will also have the opportunity to have their photo with Santa through the magic of digital editing!

Dockin’ Around the Festivus Tree at Gentile Brewing – December 12th

Whatever holiday you celebrate this season, Gentile Brewing welcomes you to join them on Saturday December 12th from 12-5 on The Dock for one last hurrah!

Cookies and Cocktails at the Cellar – December 18th

The WOW! Magic of Christmas Free Giant Snow Globe Drive-Thru Event And Car – December 18th and 19th

Gingerbread Parties with the Good Witch of Salem – Multiple Dates

Join The Good Witch of Salem for a special holiday event! Decorate gingerbread men and get a fancy hair updo and a sparkly manicure, plus storytime, singing, and dancing! $35 per child.

North Shore Holiday Light Show – Multiple Dates

The North Shore Holiday Light Show is the only drive-through holiday light spectacular on the North Shore! Featuring dozens of dazzling, larger-than-life holiday themed displays to delight the entire family.
