In your words… Tell us about your organization, business, initiative.
Art and science unite to bring you Ancient Future Designs — one-of-a-kind handcrafted talismans to adorn your temple. Million-year-old fossils, high-vibration crystals and powerful symbols are eternally preserved in copper through the process of electroforming.
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do? Share your passions for your business, initiative, organization.
I’m Jamie Lannan, the solo artist behind the work bench. I’m inspired by ancient cultures, nature, and all things mystical. Creating electroformed jewelry allows me to drop into a flow state and gives me “blissful intermissions of cleansed perception.” Time flies when I am in my studio– I truly love what I do.
What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general. (Bonus! Why do you think a more creative community is important?)
I have been doing markets since 2021 and it has been so fulfilling. I love chatting with the customers, other vendors, and the staff that help to create these events. I am both inspired by, and hope to inspire other artists. I hope that my business shows other artists that following their creative dream is possible. Whenever people come by my booth and mention that they make something, I always recommend that they try vending, or give them a follow on Instagram. Creative communities lead to a more connected community, and it is beautiful and fulfilling to be a part of that.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
I’m a registered dental hygienist, but I am attempting to make my business my full-time gig so I can be home with the baby for now, and hopefully travel on a schoolbus in the near future!
