Sunday brought blue skies and sunshine to wrap up the Salem’s So Sweet festival weekend — and what a finish it was. The ice sculptures glistened in the sunlight as visitors made their way through downtown Salem and beyond to landmarks like the House of the Seven Gables and the Salem Witch Museum.
The sculpture trail stretched across the city, with standouts including a mouse holding a heart bonbon at the House of the Seven Gables (co-sponsored by Ye Olde Pepper Companie), a butterfly wing sculpture with embedded flowers from Whimsy’s Sweet Life, and ocean wave carvings outside the Sea Wych of Salem. The Labubu made another appearance at Harrison’s, and the Witch City Walking Tours dog sculpture held its signature pink rose.
Salem Main Streets volunteers were out in force keeping the festival running smoothly, and Annie and the Fur Trappers brought the energy with a live set inside Hotel Salem — sousaphone, trumpet, resonator guitar, and clarinet filling the cafe with warmth. It was the perfect way to close out a magical weekend in Salem.
