About Tiki Hut Boats

Tiki Hut Boats is Massachusetts’ original floating tiki boat experience, offering 90-minute harbor cruises on beautiful Salem Harbor. Founded and built by Captain Scott and Captain Karen Paz, each cruise carries a maximum of six passengers — keeping the experience intimate, relaxed, and anything but ordinary. Furthermore, every detail onboard, from the hand-crafted cocktail menu to the island-inspired atmosphere, reflects the genuine passion and personality of the crew behind it.

Our Experience

Captain Scott holds a USCG 100-Ton Master Near Coastal License and brings over 40 years of commercial and recreational fishing experience on New England waters. He personally designed and built both vessels — Tiki Time in 2019 and Tiki Time Two in 2024-2025 — right here in Salem. Additionally, the entire Tiki Hut Boats crew holds USCG licenses, ensuring every cruise is safe, smooth, and memorable.

Tiki Hut Boats on the Water

Each cruise departs from Blaney Street Wharf in Salem and explores the calm, no-wake waters of Salem Harbor for approximately 90 minutes. Guests are invited to arrive 15 minutes early for a brief Coast Guard safety briefing before boarding. Moreover, with only six passengers per boat, the experience feels less like a tour and more like a private outing on the water with great company.

The Bar & Cocktail Menu

The onboard cocktail menu is the creative work of Captain Karen, developed with a signature mix of fresh ingredients, humor, and the occasional 2 a.m. inspiration. Tiki Hut Boats offers a rotating selection of craft cocktails, mocktails, beer, soft drinks, and snacks — all available for purchase onboard. Consequently, whether you are sipping a Traditional Margarita or the fan-favorite Sassy Coconut, every drink is made to match the vibe.

Tiki Hut Boats Fleet

Two custom-built vessels operate out of Salem Harbor each season:

• Tiki Time — The original vessel, 21 feet long and over 15 feet wide, designed by Captain Scott and built at Dion Yacht Yard in 2019
• Tiki Time Two — Added in 2025, operated primarily by Captains Scott and Karen alongside a dedicated crew

Both vessels are fully licensed, insured, and equipped with all USCG-required safety gear.
