SALEM, MA- A traveling installation with the Jewish Arts Collaborative of Boston joins the annual Salem’s So Sweet ice sculpture illumination from 5pm to 8pm on February 10 and 11, 2023. Sponsored by Creative Collective LLC, Brighter Ignited will be on Essex Street by the Peabody Essex Museum. Designed by artist Tova Speter and built by craftsman Manny Hutter, this super-sized interactive light display encourages people to engage, connect, and play. It poses the question, “When there is something you are passionate about, dedicated to, and ready to stand up for — how do you ignite action?”
Creative Collective is delighted to add the installation to the beloved Salem’s So Sweet festival, hosted by Salem Main Streets and the Salem Chamber of Commerce. In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, the free event showcases dozens of illuminated ice sculptures in downtown Salem with retail promotions on sweets for the holiday. Brighter Ignited has been touring Greater Boston throughout December 2022, with extra tour dates in January and February 2023, featuring illuminated artwork by hundreds of participants from various local communities.
