Discover Salem’s haunted waterfront through a lantern-lit walking tour with Teller of Tales. Stephanie Clements shares stories of phantom pirates, cursed voyages, shipwrecks, and haunted ships, including the lore of mooncussers said to lure vessels toward shore with false lights. Maritime history and ghostly storytelling meet on this evening walk through Salem.
Plan your visit
- When: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, 8–9:30 p.m., through November 1, 2026. Check the booking calendar for available dates.
- Meet: Outside 12 Hawthorne Boulevard, Salem, MA 01970.
- Tickets: $40 per person; ages 10 and older.
- Route: Approximately one mile, rain or shine. The route is not fully wheelchair accessible; contact the organizer with access questions.
