In your own words, tell us about your business, organization, or initiative.

I own a small boutique branding and web design studio for service-based businesses.

A lot of the people I work with feel like their value isn’t coming across as clearly as it should, even though they’re doing great work. I help translate what they do into a brand and online presence that actually reflects that and connects with the right clients.

My process is very strategy-focused. Instead of jumping straight into design, I take the time to get clear on the message and direction first. From there, everything comes together in a way that feels aligned and supports long-term growth.

Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do. Share your passions for your business, organization, or initiative.

I didn’t take a traditional path into running my own business. Early in my career, I struggled to feel like I fit into the corporate world or fully understood my value within it. That experience shaped how I think about work now and the importance of building something that feels aligned, not forced.

Over time, both professionally and personally, I’ve come to see how important it is to create a life and business that supports what matters most. That perspective influences how I approach my work and the way I support my clients. I’m not just focused on how something looks, but on helping people build something that feels sustainable, intentional, and reflective of who they are.

What I’m most drawn to is helping business owners gain clarity and confidence. When someone understands their value and can communicate it clearly, everything else becomes more grounded and more manageable.

What is the last thing you read, watched, or listened to that had an impact on you?

I recently read The Way to Love by Anthony De Mello, which had a meaningful impact on me. It centers on awareness, simplicity, and the idea that clarity comes from removing what’s unnecessary rather than adding more.

That perspective shows up in my work as well. I often see that businesses don’t need more tactics, they need a clearer foundation. When a brand is grounded in clarity and intention, everything else becomes easier, from communication to decision-making. It’s a simple idea, but one that continues to shape how I approach my work.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?

One thing people are often surprised to learn about me is that I’ve been sober and active in my recovery since May 4, 2013. A large part of my life outside of work is dedicated to supporting others in recovery and sharing a path that helped me find stability and clarity.

That experience has had a lasting impact on how I show up, both personally and professionally. It’s shaped my perspective on honesty, consistency, and the importance of doing meaningful work. In many ways, it also influences my focus on clarity in my business. I know firsthand how important it is to have a strong foundation and a clear direction.
