Tell us about your organization, business, or initiative.

I have been helping professional performers look their best since 2019. I focus on creating 100% handmade, high quality, and custom spooky corsets, gowns, and costumes inspired by horror pop culture and femme fatales. My designs draw inspiration from Victorian aesthetic, vampire novels, and iconic horror figures like Morticia Addams and Elvira. Some pieces are influenced by the Hellraiser movie series and 90s goth night clubs featuring leather and hardware elements. Whether you’re into historical reenactment, theater, drag performance, or cosplay I have items for you.

Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do. Share your passions for your business, organization, or initiative.

I have a long history of being involved with theater and working with theater professionals. I wanted to fill a void in the market that I saw when searching for high-quality costume pieces for performances. I started creating custom drag pieces in college for performers and designed some historical-inspired pieces of my own. I would like to become the go-to service and shop for performers and other theater professionals to find high-quality costumes that can withstand the test of time.

What is the last thing you read, watched, or listened to that had an impact on you?

I recently watched the Hulu series Shōgun and the costumes are so well-researched and meticulously crafted. A great example of how a tv show should do historical costume! It inspires me as a designer to do as much research as possible to create the perfect show-stopping pieces.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?

I started my career as a social worker! I decided after a few years to follow my life goal to become a costume designer, and I did!
