In your words… Tell us about your organization, business, initiative.
Essex North Shore is the largest high school on the north shore, servicing over 1,700 day students and over 300 evening students who receive workforce training. Our mission is for students to have technical and academic excellence when they leave Essex North Shore. We have 25 technical and agricultural programs where students can earn college credit and industry credentials.
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do? Share your passions for your business, initiative, organization.
As a Superintendent, I love what I do! My primary role is to provide support to all staff so that they may develop our students. This includes creating partnerships, seeking grant funding, overseeing a multi-million dollar budget, and working with our communities to demonstrate what a technical and agricultural school does.
What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general. (Bonus! Why do you think a more creative community is important?)
I am looking forward to learning more about the creative community and how we can partner together for a stronger creative footprint on the north shore.
What was the last book you read OR What was the last video you watched that made an impact on you?
Power of a Positive Team, Jon Gordon.
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
We had dormitories in the 1950’s for students.
