Millennium Latino Project
In your own words, tell us about your business, organization, or initiative.
At Millennium Latino Project, we’re creating spaces where everyone can show up as they are, professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives alike. We’re here for the younger professionals, the first-gen leaders, and anyone who doesn’t fit into the old-school mold of networking. We believe you’re more than just your job title/business, and we’re just as committed to supporting the person behind the hustle as we are to helping grow their business. Our peer-led workshops are all about creating opportunities for exposure, connection, and shared knowledge. And at our core, we’re deeply community-centered. Just like we ask our community to support our businesses, we believe it’s just as important to show up for local initiatives, stay informed, and get involved.
What is the last thing you read, watched, or listened to that had an impact on you?
The last thing that really had an impact on us was during a community organizing enrichment lab we facilitated for high school students. Together, we watched a TEDx talk titled Youth Leadership: Changing the World Through Service by Jean Iris Lauron. It was powerful, not just for the students, but for us too. It reminded us that our voices matter, no matter how small we sometimes limit ourselves to believing we are. Seeing the students get inspired was a full-circle moment and a reminder that we’re all still growing, still learning, and still capable of making change.
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
We are not just for Latino members. While our name reflects our roots and we believe in the power of diversity, our spaces are open to anyone who shares our values of community, authenticity, and collaboration.
