In your own words, tell us about your business, organization, or initiative.

I’m Patrick, a photographer based in Salem. I specialize in creating images that help local businesses showcase their products in the best light—literally! Whether it’s capturing the intricate details of fine jewelry or highlighting handcrafted goods, I work to create visuals that not only look amazing but also tell a story about the business behind them.

Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do. Share your passions for your business, organization, or initiative.

I got my start in high school retouching other people’s photos and realized I wanted to take my own images. That discovery led me to photography, and I haven’t looked back since. I love collaborating and working with people to bring their creative visions to life. Retouching is still a big part of my business and my heart too—I enjoy making images pop and helping them reach their full potential.

What is the last thing you read, watched, or listened to that had an impact on you?

I read an article recently about creative burnout, which really hit home. I’ve experienced that in past work environments, and it’s taught me the importance of carving out time to create art just for myself. Balancing the creative drive with running a business can be tricky, but staying connected to what sparked my passion in the first place is essential.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?

Most people are surprised to learn I got my start in food photography and still work in that space. I’ve assisted food stylists on big sets and learned so many fascinating tricks of the trade. Those experiences have given me a fresh perspective on lighting and composition, which I now bring into all my shoots—whether it’s a perfectly plated dish or a beautifully crafted piece of jewelry.
