In your own words, tell us about your business, organization, or initiative.
We are two guys that live in Boston, MA. We both love to travel and have seen a lot of the world. We dabbled in the candle making process in the summer of 2019 but when COVID-19 hit and disrupted everything in 2020, we found that we needed something to distract us. On a fateful random night at home, Adam ordered a candle making kit online, Chris started naming the candles that Adam would make, and Sniffs of Adventure was born! Based on our travels and all the memories made, we’ve tried to infuse just the right scent to match each adventure and hope that the adventure evokes something in you!
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do. Share your passions for your business, organization, or initiative.
We are adventurers and love to travel. We also love candles. We’ve created a business and a concept that fuses both passions together! We also love products that are all natural and safe for the environment and ourselves which is why we chose the ingredients for what goes into each of our handmade candles!
What is the last thing you read, watched, or listened to that had an impact on you?
We love to watch shows and read about traveling and adventure. Many things that we have seen online or on TV have inspired our next adventure and subsequently our next candle that we create!
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
People are very surprised to know that this business was created during COVID while we were stuck at home and that it happened by sheer impulse from ordering a candle making kit online. After the first candles were made for fun, the entire business concept was created within 30 minutes. Within 3 months we were selling on a table outside our house in Ptown. Within 6 months we had shipped purchased product to all 50 states and within 9 months we had opened our first brick and mortar store in Provincetown, Mass and were finalists for Shark Tank!
