In your words… Tell us about your organization, business, initiative.
I believe strongly in the power of healing through energy and movement. The aim of The Healing Center is to present Yoga offerings in an inclusive, accessible, and affordable way, to help people find support and relief in Reiki, and to spread awareness about the benefits of both practices.
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do?
I have practiced Reiki since 2013, and Yoga for years before that. Both found their way into my life when I needed them, and have benefitted me in countless ways ever since. With owning a business that offers both of these practices, I really have an opportunity to share my passion with others and hopefully help people find healing in them the way that I have. I think that the best way to honor my own journey is to pass my experience on to others, and serving my community in whatever ways I can.
What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general.
I think The Healing Center offers a bit of a different approach to Reiki and Yoga, and there is definitely value in having a varied selection of these practices in a community. There is something for everyone, and that matters!
What was the last book you read ?
I finished 10% Happier by Dan Harris and The Year of Less by Cait Flanders recently and both have really stuck with me.
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you our your business?
I am an enormous Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen fan #sorrynotsorry
