In your words… Tell us about your organization, business, initiative.
Wicked Good Books is an independent bookstore serving the Salem community and its visitors since 2014. As a woman and neuro-diverse owned business, our mission is to provide a welcoming space where everyone can be “seen”; to instill a lifelong love of learning through reading; to provide thought-provoking literary materials that focus on social justice, current events, and local history; to serve our patrons by offering genre fiction and mind/body/spiritual non-fiction for personal development; and to connect with the community via literary events.

Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do? Share your passions for your business, initiative, organization.
We are passionate about books and establishing meaningful connections with our readers and inspiring imagination. We also feel the imperative to champion freedom of expression and expand our role in pushing back against book banning and other forms of censorship.

What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general. (Bonus! Why do you think a more creative community is important?)
Creativity and imagination fuel innovation and are the lifeblood of community.

What was the last book you read OR What was the last video you watched that made an impact on you?
Frankly, I can’t choose just one book since I read constantly, both for information and for escape.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you our your business?
Hmmm…maybe once we get to know each other a little better!
