In your words… Tell us about your organization, business, initiative.

Ember Eye Photography combines photography, therapy, and community engagement to foster healing, growth, understanding and creativity.

Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do? Share your passions for your business, initiative, organization.

I am enthusiastic about using photography and therapy to create a meaningful difference. I strive to empower individuals and groups, particularly young people, by teaching them photography skills, nurturing their self-expression, creativity and personal growth.

What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general. (Bonus! Why do you think a more creative community is important?)

Ember Eye Photography plays a role in supporting a more creative community by equipping individuals with the tools to discover their creativity through photography. By providing opportunities for self-expression and artistic exploration, we contribute to a community that embraces and celebrates diverse perspectives. A more creative community cultivates innovation, fosters collaboration, and enhances the overall vitality and cultural richness of the community.

What was the last book you read OR What was the last video you watched that made an impact on you?

My Grandmother’s Hands by Resmaa Menakem

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?

Understanding this creative process in my own life allows me to join with others on their own healing process through art and visual images.
