In your own words, tell us about your business, organization, or initiative.

Born in the belief that the good things in life ought to be shared and that great food and what happens around a dinner table are the key to human connection.

With Flour in Her Hair is a catering company and event space that specializes in curated dinners, small gathering catering, heritage grain pastries, cakes, and special occasion desserts. With Flour celebrates our community of local farmers, makers, and growers first and foremost. Sustainability impacts our decision-making as we highlight seasonal produce and source our ingredients with great care.

Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do. Share your passions for your business, organization, or initiative.

I’m a chef and baker behind With Flour in Her Hair. My work is rooted in the belief that good food brings people together. I’ve always been drawn to the meaningful moments around a table, the kind where conversation flows, time slows down, and people feel taken care of. My cooking is shaped by a deep respect for ingredients and the people who grow them. I work closely with local farms and focus on seasonal produce, heritage grains, and food that feels both thoughtful and approachable. Whether I’m baking bread by hand or preparing a large dinner, I care deeply about the process and the story behind what’s being served.

This business has grown into more than just catering. It’s become a space for community, through dinners, markets, classes, and gatherings of all kinds. Creating that space, where people feel welcomed and connected, is what drives me the most.

What is the last thing you read, watched, or listened to that had an impact on you?

– Third Plate by Dan Barber, a must re-read.
– The Taste of Things.
– Georgia by Ray Charles on repeat.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?

No two menus are the same, each one is designed to reflect the client and their event.

We have a cafe open Thursday and Saturday from 9AM- 2PM and wine nights every third Thursday of the month with a full dinner menu.
