After difficult deliberation, North Shore Pride’s Board of Directors has decided to cancel the in-person 2020 North Shore Pride Parade & Festival events (originally scheduled for June 25th-28th) due to public safety concerns around COVID-19. In the days following the cancellation, North Shore Pride also announced a new Virtual Pride Parade and Festival to occur in its place.

“While we had hoped to be able to celebrate this year’s North Shore Pride 2020 theme of ‘Uniting Community’ in person, the Board members of North Shore Pride are very excited to present to our community North Shore Pride’s 2020 Virtual Networking Events, Drag Shows, InterFaith Service, Vendor Fair and Parade in May and June. So please join us and help us make this our new version of Pride via North Shore Pride at Home for 2020!”

Hope Watt-Bucci, President of North Shore Pride

North Shore Pride, in partnership with Creative Collective, will be producing the 2020 North Shore Pride Virtual Parade and Festival, which will feature a series of events that will take place throughout the year. These events include:

  • June 25 – Live Stream InterFaith Service
  • June 27 – Live Stream North Shore Pride Parade
  • June 27 – Virtual Pride Parade Drag Show and After Party

The events will be streamed via third party web conferencing applications or across North Shore Pride’s Social Media Channels. For the Virtual Pride Parade itself happening on June 27, North Shore Pride is seeking video and image submissions of community members celebrating Pride at home while still adhering to social distancing protocols. The deadline for submissions is May 31.
