A longstanding tradition in Salem, MA, Sonorium hosts a talented group of cacophonous noisemakers and experimental musicians. Next month, you can experience the wonder of this event on Saturday, October 5 at 8:00 pm at Salem Access TV.

Noell Dorsey is a singer, improviser and experimental vocalist based in Somerville MA. She is 1 of 6 members of psych-rock outfit Major Stars. She also performs with improv duo Avoidance and Beautiful Weekend. Coming from a classical singing background she incorporates various vocal techniques and extensions to create a textural and uninhibited terrain.
Will Mk is an experimental composer and improviser. He focuses on arranging fragments of harsh, percussive, and amusical sound into complex and unusual patterns. Will has been making music since the mid-90s as part of the DIY communities in Cleveland, Kansas City, and Portland, Ore.
Pain Chain is a solo harsh noise artist from Massachusetts. Also a member of C.U.M. & The Cost of Living. Their project is cathartic, politically driven, and soul-crushing. In addition to making harsh noise, they run a short run DIY label called Mutual Aid Records and make collages that can be seen worldwide on shirts and album art. In such a short time performing as this project Pain Chain has opened for heavy hitters Sissy Spacek, Hirs, Show Me The Body, Dreamcrusher, Justice Yeldham and many more.
Beige is the Western Mass-based collaborative project of Stella Silbert and Liam Kramer-White. Through improvisation with an array of electroacoustic instruments, Beige explores multilayered relationships between sounds in time.
