Sometimes when you’re trying to take care of your mind and your body, it helps to have tools in your pocket that will make it easier. In this post, Elizabeth Childs (she/her/hers) of Harmony Harvest gives us some insights on what she does to cope with stress, and how to use CBD to manage pain, anxiety, and stress.

What is Harmony Harvest?

Harmony Harvest is a CBD wellness company started by my husband and I.  We help people who want to take a natural approach to manage pain, anxiety, stress, and sleep issues by handcrafting CBD products made locally, organically, and ethically.

What are your tools for coping with stress?

My best tools for coping with stress are remembering to take time for myself.  Between kids, pets, and running businesses, it is easy to forget to take a break.  Harmony Harvest’s 2x strength tincture every morning helps ease my morning ‘get-out-the-door-we’re-going-to-be-late’ anxiety and is a nice way to start the day.  And I use Harmony Harvest Relief Balm on my hands and wrists every morning to prevent pain.  And silence notifications on your phone.

How do you stay grounded in your daily life?

try to stay grounded by sticking to a schedule.  I get up early, look ahead at what I need to accomplish, and schedule my day to be as productive as possible.

Having family dinners is another way I stay grounded.  Sometimes its a home cooked meal at the dining table, and sometimes it is pizza in front of the tv.  Either way, its really nice having just a bit of time to be together as a family.

What’s the best piece of advice someone has ever given you about life, the universe, and everything?

My best piece of advice that I come back to often is a quote from Maya Angelou: “I work very hard and I play very hard.  I’m grateful for life.  And I live it.  I believe life loves the liver of it.  I live it.”

And – it’s ok to wear the same shirt two days in a row.
