The City of Lynn & Creative Collective Continue to Collaborate & Support Outdoor Dining within the City of Lynn
LYNN, MA – The City of Lynn and Creative Collective have supported the creation of fourteen outdoor dining areas throughout the city in time for the summer weather. Each area has been designed to fit its location, maximize accessibility for pedestrians and diners, and support the goals of business owners. The team explored the feasibility of outdoor dining at twenty-one different restaurants, and provided assistance in designing, building, and beautifying outdoor dining areas in the locations that worked.

Press Release – Salem Al Fresco
“Last spring, at the outset of the pandemic, our restaurants and community partners pivoted quickly to be able to set up safer outdoor dining areas to allow for more space between customers and greater air circulation,” said Mayor Kim Driscoll. “What we discovered was that these activations not only made our community safer, they also made our public spaces more enjoyable overall. I’m grateful to our City team, including the licensing and public works staff, and to the Creative Collective,

Cinema|Salem: Making Plans for the Future
Marshall Strauss and Elaine Gerdine have bought Cinema|Salem from Paul Van Ness, and the couple aims to reopen the much-loved independent theater later this spring. To bring their ideas into action in a way that will serve the community, the couple has hired small management team — which includes John Andrews of Creative Collective — to help expand its cultural and artistic presence in the region.
