In your words… Tell us about your organization, business, initiative.
Art By Alina Z aims to create works that will bring a sense of peace to your home. My illustrative works focus on the quiet beauty of nature and other New England scenes.
Prints and functional products such as ornaments and coasters are also available from my original works of art. I also loves to paint public murals, pet portraits, and run art workshops!
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do? Share your passions for your business, initiative, organization.
I have been creating art ever since I could pick up a paintbrush. I studied studio art and psychology at Wellesley College and studied abroad at Goldsmith’s University of London.
Currently, I teaches 5th to 8th-grade art at Beverly Middle School. Pre-Covid I ran all-ages workshops at the Artist and Craftsman in Saugus and weekly art classes at the Revere Recreation Center. I am now slowly growing my in-person classes with Covid precautions in mind and have begun running private in-home paint parties!

What role do you think your business plays in supporting a more creative community? OR your community in general.
My business helps bring art into people’s home, hearts, and out on the street. My goal is for art to be accessible to all, created by all, enjoyed by all. Bringing art into the lives of our community members helps us connect with one another and ourselves.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you our your business?
I outgrew a nut allergy!
