Glamour Possum is a place for creatives to gain confidence in their personal branding and marketing journey.
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do. Share your passions for your business, organization, or initiative.
As a self published author and actor, I know the importance aesthetics and personal branding play in business. Content creation is now an important part of growing a business. Salem especially is full of unique brands and I would like to help others inside and outside the city to craft something they feel is all their own. I hope to teach courses as well on all the skills I’ve learned in the field i.e. creative writing, content format, photography and editing, public speaking and content creation.
What is the last thing you read, watched, or listened to that had an impact on you?
I love Auntie Mame with Rosalind Russell. I love the enthusiasm she has for art and culture. She’s an eccentric with impeccable taste who loves helping others reach their full potential. Everything is exciting. The possibilities are endless.
What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
I am a classically trained actor with a focus in Shakespeare and mask performance. I was also a burlesque performer in Philadelphia (I never technically retired but life takes you in other directions). Everyone said I’d never get anywhere with a theatre degree. I think it’s the most useful thing one can have. You learn by doing. You have to think on your feet. You become an expert in other people’s emotions and how to navigate through crisis towards a shared goal. At the end of the day, sometimes you do have to “fake it til you make it”
