In your own words, tell us about your business, organization, or initiative.
Mushroom Witch is essentially my public persona. I’ve always been a creative thinker and a curious soul, which manifests in my exploration of art, crafts, knowledge, and culture. I started my tours as a dedication to authenticity in witchcraft; and each thing I mention is a point that can be further explored if people ask questions, but some things are better demonstrated hands-on. I love teaching, so I am more than happy to share what I know. In art, I devote attention to every detail. I also love to challenge myself in every piece I create, which makes a wonderful composition. Sometimes I make my own paint.
Tell us a bit about you and why you do what you do. Share your passions for your business, organization, or initiative.
I’ve spent my lifetime exploring how things work, and I have a passion for learning, traveling, creative expression, authenticity, sustainability, and sharing what I know with others. This is the foundation for everything I do. I find forgotten knowledge in ancestral truths, and I seek to help others reconnect as well. I make green decisions wherever possible, from recycled paper flyers to taking time off to volunteer with Salem Native Nursery and teaching creative solutions to invasive species. One of the principles I live by is to be the change I wish to see in the world.
As a witch, I have a practical view of magic, putting my best intentions into the actions I take and the things I create, rather than engaging in rituals. Mushroom Witch didn’t start from herbal remedies or entheogenic adventures; it was born from a profound realization that in the ‘dead’ of winter, the world is very much alive. Small, brown, gelatinous fungi embrace dead branches, thriving while the plants and other mushrooms sleep under the snow. Everything has its proper moment to shine; cold and darkness truly are just as important as light and warmth; rest and reflection are necessary for growth and abundance.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
I do everything myself: from building my websites and creating graphics/videos, to guiding tours, teaching, crafting, and customer service. My experience running a business comes from helping others run theirs and deciding how I would do things differently with the skill set I’ve built over the years. My marketing and consulting services are available for hire as well NewMorrowSolutions.com
