In your own words, tell us about your business, organization, or initiative.
At Salt Studio I hope to create a buzzing space for casual creativity. Our mission includes providing space for creatives, introducing process based creativity to youth and incorporating reused materials wherever possible in our educational program.

I have been a freelance graphic designer and photographer for the past 10 years and have longed for the collaborative feeling that a shared studio can create. I hope to create that sense of community, experimentation and partnership in our space.

What’s the one thing people would be surprised to learn about you or your business?
When we inherited our space from the previous renters the walls were covered in diesel oil and detritus from a commercial welding production. It took us 30 gallons of Killz primer to cover the walls BEFORE we started painting.
