Oliver Rodi – Paula Beaulieu Memorial Recipient

Manchester Essex Regional High School senior Oliver creates stunning 3D sculptural art and clothing. Furthermore, he discovered his calling through transformative middle school teaching experience. Additionally, one sixth grader’s request for drawing help sparked Oliver’s electric connection to art education.

Oliver heads to University of Maine at Orono for Art Education studies. Moreover, he plans studio art and art history minors. Therefore, he represents next generation of creative educators who understand art unlocks potential.

Shawn Anderson Stolarz – Ellen Hardy Memorial Recipient

Bishop Fenwick High School’s art club president overcame dyslexia through creative expression. Furthermore, art became his “passion and refuge” when academic subjects felt overwhelming. Additionally, he serves as co-chair of Marblehead Arts Association’s youth council.

Shawn creates public art for Salem and Swampscott communities. Moreover, he organized his own art show titled “Look.” Therefore, he embodies Ellen Hardy’s spirit of community leadership and artistic dedication.

Alejandra Mayorga – Creative Collective Innovation Recipient

Danvers High School senior Alejandra uses paintings to explore family connections and cultural identity. Furthermore, her Mexican-American heritage influences her work, inviting viewers to experience warmth and familiarity. Additionally, she organizes community Day of the Dead celebrations at Danvers Art Association.

Alejandra earned a Gold Key from Scholastic Art for her senior portfolio. Moreover, she received the National Art Education Award. Therefore, she represents a perfect fit for this innovation-focused program.
