Salem Welcomes its Furry (and Scaly) Friends for a Day of Community Fun
Are you a pet lover looking for a fantastic community event in Salem? Then mark your calendars because Salem Main Streets is thrilled to announce the return of the Howl-o-ween Pet Parade! This event brings joy to the entire community by featuring an array of animals—be it dogs, cats, lizards, or bunnies—all dressed up in their Halloween best.
Event Details
The Howl-o-ween Pet Parade will take place on Saturday, October 14th, at 11 a.m. The location for this festive gathering is the picturesque Derby Wharf at the Salem Maritime National Historic Site.
While all pets are welcome, it’s important to note that your furry, scaly, or feathery companion should be well-behaved and comfortable in a busy setting. There will likely be many dogs and other animals, so make sure your pet can handle the excitement. And don’t worry about a few raindrops; the parade will go on, rain or shine.
Registration and Donations
To streamline the event, Salem Main Streets asks all participants to register in advance online if possible. A modest donation of $5 is suggested for Salem residents and $10 for those who are visiting from outside the area. Your contributions go directly to Salem Main Streets to support other fabulous community programs throughout the year.
