As the year draws to a close and a new one beckons, Salem Main Streets and the City of Salem invite you to an enchanting evening of celebration and community spirit. Join us for LAUNCH! – Salem’s Creative NYE Festivities! our family-friendly New Year’s Eve extravaganza, set to take place on Sunday, December 31st, from 4:30 pm to 6 pm at the creatively vibrant Artists’ Row (24 New Derby Street) – a fresh and exciting venue for this year’s festivities.

Embracing Community and Creativity
Kylie Sullivan, the Executive Director of Salem Main Streets, reflects on the inception of LAUNCH! in 2014, noting its instant resonance with the community’s desire to gather and celebrate together. The event fosters community bonding and allows ample time for attendees to continue their New Year’s Eve adventures elsewhere in Salem, with numerous other events dotting the cityscape as the night unfolds.
A Palette of Activities for All Ages
This year’s LAUNCH! is brimming with fun activities for everyone. Dive into art-making ventures, revel in the joy of face painting and temporary tattoos, and lose yourself in the beats of a silent disco. Adding to the novelty, Salem Main Streets collaborates with Artists’ Row tenants – including The Lobster Shanty, Robber’s Daughter and Melon Rose Flower Co., ChagallPAC, and Shindig Studios. Moreover, the magic shows by Evan Northrup are sure to sprinkle a little extra wonder into the evening, especially for our younger guests.
Supporting the Spirit of Salem
While the event is free to all, a $5 suggested donation is welcomed. Your contributions will bolster Salem Main Streets’ “Holiday Happenings” initiatives, including Santa’s Arrival at the Hawthorne, the Tree Lighting, and the festive wreaths and ribbons beautifying our downtown area. Wolf Next Door Coffee generously provides cocoa to warm your hearts and hands.
