A Historic Setting for Contemporary Art

The Gallows Hill Artists studio space isn’t just a workplace—it’s a piece of Salem history. Housed in one of Salem’s few surviving tannery buildings that withstood the Great Salem Fire of 1914, the space features striking original post and beam interiors that hearken back to its industrial roots as the Arthur J Mulholland Company. The location overlooks Proctor’s Ledge, adding a profound historical connection to Salem’s past.
